Juntos, avanzamos la democracia para todos.

Democracy is not a spectator sport. It requires citizens who show up, speak up, and stay engaged — at every level, in every election, in every community.

Our Declaration

American Civic Power was established to advance democracy — a civic organization rooted in a simple, enduring conviction: American democracy must be strengthened and expanded so that every citizen’s voice carries weight in the halls of our Constitutional Republic.

This is not a moment for timidity. It is a call to purpose — a renewed commitment to the ideals on which our nation was founded and a practical plan to restore accountability across government at every level.

What We Stand For

Our democracy is strongest when the will of all Americans shapes public policy. American Civic Power is committed to the following principles and reforms:

Getting Money Out of Politics

The 2010 Supreme Court decision in Citizens United, along with prior rulings such as Buckley v. Valeo (1976), has allowed corporate money to flood campaigns — distorting representation and incentivizing policymakers to prioritize corporate and special interests over the public good. ACP advocates repealing Citizens United to restore integrity to campaign finance and curb the influx of opaque “dark money” that undermines democratic accountability.

Electoral Reform

Protecting Public Institutions

ACP opposes the privatization of essential public services for corporate profit. We believe critical government functions must remain publicly governed and accountable, and be directed toward the common good — not private profit.

Civic Education and Empowerment

Through our CivicSphere platform and the 12 Points of Good Governance framework, ACP ensures that every citizen has the knowledge and tools to evaluate their government, participate in the democratic process, and hold their elected officials accountable. An informed citizenry is the most powerful check on government overreach.

Grassroots Organizing

Real democratic change begins at the neighborhood level — in Election Districts, town halls, school board meetings, and community gatherings. ACP believes in building civic power from the ground up, one community at a time.
